Your balance sheet

Every company you invest in publishes a balance sheet. Almost nobody makes their own. Read it in three layers: each settles its own assets against its own liabilities and carries the result down, so you see what is liquid before you see what is locked up. Open any line with the arrow to break it into accounts. The emergency reserve is not an asset of its own: mark the part of an account you intend to keep available, with the ∗ button.

The investable amount is what the risk profile is built on: a profile belongs to a pool of money with a purpose, not to a person. Bar lengths are comparable across all three layers, measured against the single largest line on the sheet. A line broken into accounts shows their total, which is then read-only.

Link to a liability

Tie an asset to the borrowing secured against it, a property to its mortgage for instance. The asset then shows its net equity.
